Will you have to drill and replace my lock?
Almost never. Standard residential locks are opened with picks or a bypass. If a high-security or badly damaged lock genuinely requires drilling, we explain that and go over the replacement with you before touching anything.
I rent. Can you still let me in?
Yes. Show ID plus something with your name and that address — a lease, a utility bill, mail. We do not need landlord approval for entry to a unit you legally occupy.
How do I find out what a house lockout will involve?
Call and describe the door, the lock and where you are. A dispatcher goes over the specifics of your job with you on the phone before a technician is dispatched.
Can you get in through a smart lock?
Yes. Most smart locks retain a mechanical override cylinder, and where they do not we can pull power to the unit or replace the battery pack to restore access.
Should I rekey after being locked out?
If the key is lost rather than inside, yes. We can rekey every exterior lock to one new key during the same visit.
