Why does a Honda all-keys-lost job take longer than other brands?
Honda's system typically requires an already-registered key to add a new one, so when all keys are lost, the immobilizer has to be accessed and reset directly through the body control module. This process takes more time than a standard duplicate key.
Can a broken Honda key fob be fixed without reprogramming?
Often yes. If the internal transponder chip and remote board are undamaged, they can usually be transferred into a new shell with a freshly cut HON66 blade, which avoids the need to reprogram the fob to the vehicle.
What blade profile does my Honda use?
